From the Great Depression to America's entry into World War II, Everett's radio station stood by the community.

Tales of "Rosie-the-Riviter" and tips for your own "Victory Garden" were broadcast across the airwaves of KRKO during World War II. This was a promotional piece produced for KRKO during the War.	Lee Mudgett owned KRKO from the end of the Great Depression in 1934 to nearly the end of World War II. This photo was taken just a couple years prior to his ownership of the station.
Pat Mudgett is the wife of former station licensee Lee Mudgett. In the 1930's, Pat sang and played the piano on the air, among other duties. This late 1930's photo was taken when Pat had her own program entitled "Women In War Time." Note the posters in the background promoting the war effort and KRKO's involvement in supporting the troops.
